Terms of Service

1. Not medical advice

HeartMend is a self-help and wellness tool. It is not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional mental-health care. Nothing in the app constitutes a diagnosis or treatment. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or text HOME to 741741.

2. Eligibility

You must be 16 or older to use HeartMend. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this age requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree not to share your account, impersonate others, or attempt to access another user's data.

4. Subscriptions & billing

  • HeartMend offers a 7-day free trial. We will email you 2 days before the trial ends.
  • If you don't cancel, you'll be charged the plan you selected (Monthly $9.99, Annual $59.99, or Maintenance $3.99).
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled.
  • Cancel any time from Settings → Manage Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: we generally don't offer refunds for partial periods, but contact us at hello@heartmend.app and we'll do the right thing.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

5. Community guidelines

The community is a safe space. You agree not to:
  • Name any ex-partner by full name or share identifying info about them.
  • Post hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or violent content.
  • Solicit, advertise, or promote external services.
  • Share content from other users outside the app.

We may remove posts and suspend accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion.

6. AI guidance

HeartMend's AI is a supportive tool, not a clinician. It can be wrong. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, or safety decisions. Your AI conversations are processed by our AI provider (Google / OpenAI via Lovable AI Gateway) under terms that prohibit training on your data.

7. Termination

You can delete your account any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to other users.

8. Limitation of liability

HeartMend is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
