Our promise
HeartMend is a mental-wellness app built for one of the hardest moments in your life. We treat your data with that in mind. We do not sell it. We do not use it to train third-party AI models. We collect only what we need to give you the daily plan.
What we collect
- Account info — your email and name (or display name) when you sign up.
- Plan progress — which day you're on, completed steps, no-contact streak.
- Journal entries — encrypted at rest, visible only to you.
- AI conversations — sent to our AI provider to generate replies, then stored linked to your account so the assistant has context.
- Community posts — anonymous by default, public to other members.
- Subscription info — handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- Crisis signals — if our system detects crisis language, we surface 988 immediately. We do not contact you, your contacts, or any authority.
Where it lives
Your data is stored on Lovable Cloud (Supabase) infrastructure, encrypted at rest and in transit. Row-level security means even our database can't return your journal to another user.
Who we share with
- Stripe — for billing only. They get your email and card data; we get a subscription status.
- Our AI provider (Google / OpenAI via Lovable AI Gateway) — receives your AI prompts to generate responses. They are contractually prohibited from training on your data.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers, data brokers, or your social network.
Your rights
You can:
- Export your journal and plan history any time from Settings.
- Delete your account and all associated data permanently from Settings → Delete Account.
- Cancel your subscription instantly from the customer portal.
- Email us at hello@heartmend.app with any privacy request.
Children
HeartMend is not directed at users under 16. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
Crisis disclaimer
HeartMend is not a substitute for professional mental-health care. If you are in crisis, please call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 immediately.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll notify you in-app and by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
